Emmy Releases 2021 List Of Nominees

by Duke Magazine

In anticipation for this year Emmy Awards, the 73rd Primetime Emmy will hold on September 19, 2021. It is to be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, Ron Cephas Jones, and Jasmine Cephas Jones. Also, list of nominees for different categories of the award was released on Tuesday.

Some of the biggest contenders for the year include ‘The Crown’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ with 24 nominations each. HBO’s recently cancelled ‘Lovecraft Country’ also recorded a whopping 18 nominations.

Netflix’s thirst trap series ‘Bridgerton’ made the nomination list including its first season’s lead star, Regé-Jean Page who is nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor category. Once again the stream war was between HBO and Netflix with the former leading.

This year’s Emmy will reportedly be ditching the virtual ceremony style of last year for a limited live audience of nominees and other attendees.
