Woman Crush Wednesday (WCW): Aishah Ahmad

 Aishah Ahmad is a Nigerian accountant, financial analyst and financial manager. She is a native of Bida, Niger State, and had her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Abuja. In furtherance of her academic pursuit, Ahmad proceeded to bag her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at the University of Lagos, and complemented her academic qualifications with a Master’s degree in Finance and Management from Cranfield School of Management.

Ahmad started her career working in the private sector as a Group Accountant at Manstructs Group Nigeria Limited. She then went on to assume the position of Executive Assistant, Treasury Group at First Interstate Babk (Nig) Plc. With her continuing depth of experience in financial services, Ahmad has had stints with Zenith Bank, Sterling Bank (formerly NAL Bank), Bank of New York Mellon, United Kingdom, Synesix Financial Limited, also United Kingdom, and Stanbic IBTC Bank Limited which traversed across different managerial roles in the banking sector.

Ahmad has served as the chairperson of the executive council of Women in management, Business and public Service (WIMBIZ); a Nigerian Non-Profit organization where she was part of the foundation in 2001. 

The gorgeous business executive is currently the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the position she got appointed into in 2017, following the retirement of Sarah Alade.
