Mrs. Abigail Marshall Katung was born to parents from the Southern part of Kaduna State.
Mrs. Abigail who is based in the United Kingdom in her first attempt won an election to represent Little London and Woodhouse Ward in the 2019 Leeds City Council elections. However, in the 2023 Leeds Council election, Mrs. Abigail got re-elected to represent Little London and Woodhouse Ward for the second term.
The 47-year-old beauty and brain is the wife of Sunday Marshall Katung, a Nigerian politician and lawyer who was a one-term member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Jaba/Zangon Kataf Federal constituency of Kaduna State.
Notably, Mrs. Abigail serves as the lead member for faith and religion and is the current chair of the boards for adults, health, and an active lifestyle, hate crime strategy, and further education for students ages 14 to 19.
