The crew of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba professionally known has Mohbad has announced Thursday 21st September 2023 as the date for the candlelight procession of the late rapper. This was revealed via the deceased’s Instagram account on Tuesday 19th September, 2023.
The singer visited the hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, for treatment of an infection he contracted as a result of an injury, and was then given an injection, claims a source from Mohbad’s crew.
According to the source, Mohbad passed unconscious shortly after receiving the injection and sadly did not survive.
Colleagues and fans have however poured out in their large numbers to express their sorrow at the passing of the musician, whose last EP was released in June 2023, as soon as the news of Mohbad’s death broke on social media.
On Tuesday night, the singer’s Twitter account sent a statement in which the news was officially confirmed.
It reads, “It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise Oladimeji Aloba PK/A Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th of September, 2023. Mohbad was a light until the very end, and as we mourn the loss of the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Imole is finally at peace.”
