A Celebration of Talent, Culture & Modern Masculinity

The grand finale of The Misters of Nigeria 2025 was more than just a pageant—it was a powerful showcase of ambition, cultural pride, and the evolving definition of African masculinity. Held on Saturday, 11th May, in Lagos, the event brought together 21 exceptional finalists, industry leaders, and international guests for an evening of glamour, talent, and purpose-driven competition.

Meet the Winners: Nigeria’s New Ambassadors

After a fiercely contested selection process, Somto Alexander Nnoruga of Abia State was crowned Mister Nigeria 2025, earning the right to represent the country at Manhunt International in Thailand later this year. But the night didn’t end with just one winner—five other contestants secured major titles, each earning a spot on the global stage:

– Mbamara Bethel Chidera (Adamawa) – Mister International Nigeria 2025

– Victor Ngoka (Zamfara) – Mister Global Nigeria

– David Eyo (Lagos) – Caballero Universal Nigeria

– Chidi Udengwu (Abuja) – Mister of Nigeria Universe

– Godwin Awaji (Rivers) – Mister Cosmopolitan Nigeria

Special awards also recognised standout qualities, including Morah Tochukwu Gabriel (Bauchi) as Mister Congeniality and David Eyo for Best Costume, thanks to his striking traditional ensemble.

A Night of Glamour & Global Recognition

This year’s edition, themed “Man on a Mission”, emphasised purpose over aesthetics, challenging contestants to embody leadership, vision, and social impact. The event drew international attention, with guests including:

– Josué Coulibaly (Reigning Mister Côte d’Ivoire 2025)

– Kwame Nkrumah (Mister Universe Ghana)

– Phil Royce (Award-winning Ivorian fashion designer)

Their presence highlighted the growing influence of African male pageantry and fostered cross-cultural connections.

Behind the Scenes: The Team & Sponsors

Produced by The 97th Entertainment under Emmanuel Somto (CEO) and Saliu Momoh (COO), the event was made possible with support from top brands like:

– MTN

– Maybrands (Luxury watches)

– Fearless Energy Drink

– Nestlé

– 234byKiri (Fashion)

These partnerships elevated the production, ensuring a world-class experience for contestants and attendees alike.

What’s Next for the Winners?

The newly crowned titleholders will undergo media training, brand collaborations, and international prep before representing Nigeria on global stages. With their charisma, talent, and dedication, they’re set to make a lasting impact beyond the runway.

Why This Matters

The Misters of Nigeria isn’t just about crowns—it’s a movement redefining masculinity, ambition, and cultural pride in modern Africa. As the competition grows in prestige, it continues to set the standard for male pageantry on the continent.
