Success Story: At 21, This Liberian Built An E-Commerce Empire After Failing In 7 Business Attempts

Boniface Ogunti is Liberian-born, US-based business magnate whose initial attempts at becoming his boss failed miserably. However, that did not deter him from his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. By the age of 21, he had built an e-commerce empire. All he does is run Facebook ads for eCommerce.

He began his journey into entrepreneurship at the age of 16. According to him, he used to airbrush sneakers for people in his town, and then when he was 18 years old, he started a recording studio with $2,000 of the money he made from airbrushing shoes

“When I was 18 years old I got into sales, selling TV service, door to door and in big-box retailers. When I was 19 years old, I was also selling car insurance and when I was selling car insurance someone told me about selling products online,” Ogunti said in an interview.
He noted that he subsequently went into the selling of products online and in the first year of running his store, he made $2.5 million using Facebook ads.

“I failed at 7 business ventures before I found my path,” he said.

Ogunti then came to America following the devastating civil war in Liberia. He noted that when he moved to the US, he left his mother in Africa and pitched camp with his grandmother.

“I came to the United States of America because there was a war in my country in West Africa, Liberia. When I moved to the United States, I left my mom in Africa and I was living with my grandma. I went to high school like everyone else, but I dropped out to start my online business. I saw my mom on my 24th birthday on February 18, 2020. I was born February 18, 1996,” Ogunti recounted.

After dropping out of school to start his online business, Ogunti now runs an e-commerce business and a shipping business. The 25-year-old is the founder of the Advanced Client Acquisition™ Certification Program, which is a global movement of men and women who help entrepreneurs master the art of advertising.

Reports say that he and his students have generated tens of millions of dollars in sales across dozens of industries.

Aside from his Advanced Client Acquisition™ Certification Program, Ogunti also runs a personal YouTube channel that is growing to become one of the top channels in the business category with hundreds of videos. And across multiple social media platforms, he has over $2.5 million followers.

Ogunti’s next project is to invest in his home country. He wants to venture into real estate by focusing on creating houses for people in the middle class.

“For my next project this year, I’m investing in Africa. I’m building a luxury home in West Africa, Liberia, and building middle-income homes for the people. I want to make an impact in my country,” the young businessman said.
