Man Crush Monday: Joshua Agboola

by Duke Magazine

13-year-old Joshua Agboola is a Nigerian tech coach and coder. He established Joshfortech, a company that offers knowledge and skill empowerment services, as well as web solutions, to organisations and people.

Agboola began learning how to code at the age of six, and by the time he was nine, he had created a fully functional website from scratch for his school. Agboola is skilled in the use of HTML, CSS, and JS for web development. In addition, he creates Java script and uses PHP for databases.

Agboola’s IT journey began at age 6 when his father enrolled him in Genius Academy. The curriculum at the academy was intended for students between the ages of 12 and 13, but his engineer father was confident that his little son would do well, and to everyone’s surprise, he did.

At the age of 7, he enrolled at CCHub to learn scratch coding.

The Lagos Chambers of Commerce’s ICTEL EXPO had Agboola as its youngest speaker in 2019.

By the first part of 2023, he had become the youngest certified African Amazon Web Services Developer Associate.

With his proficiency in coding and programming, Agboola has created a number of games, programmes, and websites for his school, a healthcare app, and other clients.

Joshua has a strong commitment to his cause of early tech education for children.
