Stan Nze is a name that has become synonymous with versatility in Nollywood. Born Stanley Ebuka Nzediegwu on 15 May 1989 in Lagos, he is the first of five children. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, he pursued his passion for acting at the Stella Damasus Arts Foundation.
His career began in 2009 with a minor role in the television series Private Sector, but his breakthrough came with his portrayal of the iconic Ahanna in the 2020 remake of Amaka Igwe’s classic, Rattlesnake.
This performance earned him the AMVCA Award for Best Actor in a Drama in 2022. However, his path was not without its hurdles; he has spoken candidly about starting with humble beginnings, often collecting daily transport fare from his mother to attend auditions.
Beyond acting, Nze has established himself as a producer, with credits including Colourless and Everybody Wants Alvin. He remains grounded in his Christian faith, viewing it as a foundation for professionalism and humility on set.
Off screen, he is a devoted family man, married to actress Blessing Jessica Obasi since September 2021, with whom he shares a son. His recent accolades include a nomination for Best African Actor at the 2025 Septimius Awards.
As he continues to navigate his career, Nze is clear about his boundaries, stating he will never perform nude scenes or risk his life for stunts, preferring to leave such work to the professionals.
