Michael James Efevberha, born on August 22, 1984, is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player currently competing for the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers in the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). He pursued his college basketball career at the University of California, Irvine, and California State University, Northridge. Efevberha has also played for the Nigeria national basketball team, where he captained the squad during the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship. That year, he averaged 17.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
In 2009, Efevberha was honored as the Most Outstanding Guard in the New Zealand NBL and claimed the scoring title with an impressive average of 27.8 points per game. He demonstrated his scoring prowess by surpassing 30 points in a game on eight occasions and reaching over 40 points twice. His performance led the Wellington Saints to the semi-finals, though they were ultimately defeated by the Nelson Giants.
On November 18, 2017, Efevberha signed with Bnei Herzliya in Israel for the 2017–18 season but departed the team on December 27, 2017, after playing in four games. He then joined Beirut Club in Lebanon on February 12, 2018, and after a semi-final loss to Riyadi Beirut, he continued his career with Homenetmen Beirut for the 2018–19 season and Sagesse Club for the 2019–20 season.
Efevberha signed with JA Vichy-Clermont Métropole in the French Pro B on November 21, 2019. Later, on November 25, 2022, he joined the Taoyuan Leopards in the T1 League, where he led the league in scoring for the 2022–23 season. On August 22, 2024, Efevberha re-signed with the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers in the TPBL.
