In a bid to enhance customer experience and program execution, Black & Veatch has announced digital strategist and technology leader, Irvin Bishop, Jr., as their Chief Information Officer (CIO).

In a press release, the move comes as the company works to increase focus on analytics, robust customer experience programs, digital transformation, and the acceleration of distributed projects, workforces, and assets.

“Irvin has a strong record of driving innovation to effectively implement digital transformation, improve the customer experience and deliver bottom-line performance in emerging companies as well as within the world’s leading brands,” said Black & Veatch CEO, Steve Edwards. “His focus on transformative technologies enabled some of the world’s most recognized brands to strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and consumers, and will be critical to supporting Black & Veatch’s global growth strategies.”

As a chief in digital transformation strategies and automation, Bishop is set to lead the Information Technology (IT) services team to continue to provide the company’s global workforce with the technologies and tools needed to offer not only services to clients, but world-class solutions as well.

Bishop will bring a unique blend of marketing expertise and technology to the company, and has been a proven innovator in the development and execution of digital transformation strategies and client experience.

As the former Executive Vice President of Digital & Strategic Planning at Young Living Essential Oils, Bishop led a digital transformation of the company. He also championed the award-winning innovation programs for companies like AT&T and Coca-Cola.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University prior to achieving a Master of Science in Marketing from Georgia State University. Bishop also holds Master’s Certifications in Project Management and Brand & Customer Management, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.

“I look forward to immersing myself in the business, focusing on the customer, and collaborating with our business leaders and partners. This will be key to our success as we leverage digital to deliver a differentiated customer experience to help transform and grow the business,” Bishop said in the press release. “There are few companies that have the global reach and experience in critical human infrastructure services as Black & Veatch.”
