Rema makes history again as ‘Raves & Roses’ spends 30th week on Billboard 200

by Duke Magazine

With his debut album, “Raves & Roses,” which has spent an unprecedented 30 weeks on the Billboard 200 list, Rema has taken another major step towards his goal of being the longest-charting African artist.

Rema has just surpassed Wizkid’s RIAA Gold-certified fourth album, “Made In Lagos,” which previously held the record.

With the success of his international smash song “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez, Rema’s “Raves & Roses” has maintained an outstanding level of success.

“Calm Down” retains the record for being the highest charting Nigerian song and the second highest charting African single on the Billboard Hot 100, with a peak position of number 5.

The song spent a record-breaking 49 weeks at the top of the Billboard US Afrobeats chart, making it the song with the longest run at number 1.
