Edith Kimani is a Kenyan journalist and media personality. She works as a news anchor and reporter at Deutsche Welle (DW). Born in 1990, Kimani at age 19, started her broadcasting career through a participation in a contest at Kenyan Television Network (KTN). Going to win the competition, she had a stint as a reporter and anchor with a television station.
With her growing exuberance in broadcasting and journalism, Kimani went on to become an East African correspondent at the German station Deutsche Welle. She was later promoted to become a news anchor and hosts a youth show called The 77 percent.
Having garnered huge repute in her career, the 31-year-old anchor hosted the 2019 Global Media forum and the 2019 Global economic forum in South Africa. She also moderated a discussion session at the World Trade Organization Public Forum in Switzerland. Kimani holds a degree in international relations from United States International University.
In recognition of her exploits, Kimani was listed among the 100 Young Influential Africans by Youthlead.
