Tunde Olanrewaju is the Managing Partner for McKinsey’s offices in the UK, Ireland, and Israel, where he brings a wealth of experience in advising financial services, private equity, consumer-facing, and public sector institutions. With a focus on strategy, digital transformation, analytics, operations, organization, and culture, Tunde helps these institutions become more resilient and positions them for sustainable, inclusive growth. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Tunde is a Senior Partner at McKinsey’s London office and serves on the firm’s Shareholders Council, which acts as its board of directors.
Tunde’s leadership extends to McKinsey’s fintech practice in Europe, where he co-leads the firm’s efforts to support clients in the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape. One of his key contributions was helping to establish McKinsey Digital, a practice that integrates design, software engineering, analytics, and product capabilities to drive digital transformation and the use of data analytics and AI at scale for clients. Before his current role, Tunde served as the firm’s Global Chief Technology and Platform Officer, where he advanced technology assets for both clients and colleagues globally, ensuring their cyber and operational resilience.
Throughout his career, Tunde has spearheaded notable research, including studies on the evolving corporate landscape in the UK, aimed at unlocking growth and outperformance. He also led an independent report on the UK arts sector, in collaboration with over 70 leading institutions, to assess its economic and social impact. Tunde is also committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within McKinsey, serving as a leader of the McKinsey Black Network, a global initiative dedicated to developing Black leaders and supporting the next generation of senior Black talent.
Beyond his work at McKinsey, Tunde is deeply involved in social causes. He is a trustee of Oxfam, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty, and serves on the board of Innovate UK, the UK’s commercial innovation agency, which is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Tunde holds a first-class master’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Imperial College London, which laid the foundation for his strong technical and leadership acumen.
