Nnaemeka Clinton Ezeji, popularly known as the Brand Doctor of Africa, is a Nigerian entrepreneur and ecosystem builder who is reshaping the landscape for startups across the continent. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spark Africa, he has built a platform dedicated to providing incubation, mentorship, capital and community support for mission-driven founders.
Born in October 1999, Clinton has already achieved recognition as an award-winning business leader, including receiving the Under 30 CEOs award from New African Magazine and Insider Africa in 2021. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Imo State University followed by a master’s degree in business studies from the University of Waterloo.
Clinton’s vision extends far beyond a single enterprise. He is the convener of two major technology exhibitions on the continent: the Africa Technology Expo and the Africa Startup Festival.
These platforms have been instrumental in showcasing indigenous African talent and emerging technology to a global audience, with the Africa Startup Festival alone unlocking more than ten million United States dollars in deals and partnerships across recent editions.
His philosophy centres on what he terms “democratising luck for entrepreneurs”—creating systematic infrastructure so that founders are discovered, supported and connected without relying on random chance. With corporate partners including Amazon Web Services, MTN, Zoho, Microsoft and Airtel, Clinton is expanding Spark Africa’s footprint beyond Nigeria to London, the United States and Doha.
Through his work in branding, television production, investment banking and business support services, Clinton remains steadfast in his belief that African innovation is not merely emerging but is competitive, creative and ready to define industries on the global stage.
