Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has recently garnered three prestigious Grammy nominations for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards. His latest album, “Timeless,” has earned him a nomination in the esteemed Best Global Album category.
Additionally, Davido has received recognition for his outstanding individual performances, securing nominations for Best African Performance with his track “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel.”
Born on November 21, 1992, as David Adedeji Adeleke OON, the artist professionally known as Davido is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Recognised as a key figure in the Afrobeats genre, he holds a prominent position in the 21st-century music scene.
Davido’s industry colleagues, Burna Boy and Wizkid, have already won the prestigious award, leaving him out. Upon the release of the nominees’ list for the 66th annual Grammy Awards, he got three nominations and took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to tweet, “3 nominations at the Grammys!! Delay is not Denial🏆🌎!!”
