BUHARI, ABIKE DABIRI MEET NIGERIAN UJIRI, PRESIDENT OF BIG NBA TORONTO RAPTORS TEAM Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has introduced Masai Ujiri to President Muhammad Buhari at the bilateral meeting he had with the Canadian Prime Minister in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Masai has had a successful basketball career before he proceeded to become the President, basketball operations of the Toronto Raptors. It is noteworthy to know that Masai was the same person who led the team to victory at the NBA finals last year 2019.
Masai was in 2002 a scout for the Orlando Magic, before he proceeded to the Denver Nuggets. In 2008, he was a back room staff of the Toronto Raptors, before making his way back to the Nuggets in 2010 as the general manager.
Masai was the recipient for the NBA Executive of the year award in 2013. The Nigerian sportsman was birthed in Bournemouth, England, but had most of his childhood days in Zaria (Northwest Nigeria). Accordingly him, he started picking up keen interest in basketballs age 13, as he fed his passion with American magazines and videotapes of the game
