Yusif Meizongo Jnr., born on June 10, 1997, is a pioneering Ghanaian perfumer and entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder of Maison Yusif, a notable perfume brand that has earned him recognition as Ghana’s first perfumer. Meizongo has made significant contributions to the fragrance industry, especially with his brand’s unique offerings.
Raised in Newtown, Accra, Meizongo completed his early education at a local high school before attending the Islamic University in Ghana for his higher studies. After graduating in 2017, he launched Maison Yusif, initially selling his perfumes directly from his car. Over time, his brand grew in prominence, with its flagship fragrance, The Vatican, receiving the ‘Niche Perfume of the Year’ award at the prestigious Perfumista Awards in France in 2023.
In addition to his entrepreneurial success, Meizongo is also committed to philanthropy. He established the Home of Humanity Foundation, an initiative dedicated to supporting education for children from the Zongo community in Ghana and providing aid to orphanages across the country. His efforts highlight his dedication to giving back to his community while advancing his career in the perfume industry.
