Helen Paul-Bamisile is a Nigerian comedian, actress, and entrepreneur. She started her career in the media space as a freelance and full-time presenter in top brand TV stations in Nigeria.
Paul curated a niche for herself as a naughty comic character on the radio program “Wetin Dey” on Radio Continental 102.3FM, Lagos. She is popular on the program as “Tatafo”, a witty kid who addresses and lampoons societal issues in a satirical manner.
With a stint in music, Paul has enjoyed gracing the movie scene by starring as leader character and supporting character in some heart-cheering Nollywood films.
In the business world, the 42-year-old celebrity owns a bridal and fabric boutique “Massive Fabrics and Bridals”, which has other outlets across Lagos. In furtherance, she is the proprietress of Helen Paul Theater and Film Academy, a film and theater academy that is composed of a makeup studio, a recording studio, a rehearsal studio, a photo studio, a mainly digital library, an editing studio, and a hostel for students.
Paul holds a doctorate in Theater Arts from the University of Lagos, and won the Comedienne of the Year at the 2012 African Film Awards (Afro-Hollywood, UK), 2014 Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) in the category of the Outstanding TV presenter (Female) (Entertainment/Talk Show), and other awards and recognitions.
