Hadeel Osman is a Sudanese creative designer and stylist. She is the founder of DAVU Studio in Sudan. Being a design and fashion enthusiast, Hadeel’s inspiration in creativity stems from her years growing in the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. When she decided to return to Sudan in 2016, her career painted a complicated but optimistic picture. Her brand, DAVU, culminated to ‘designing a visual utopia’. It is a multi-disciplinary creative studio that fuses design, art, education and sustainability. In this capacity of her, Hadeel has been availed the opportunity of working with Sudanese visual artists and designers, and was also commissioned by the Sudan Independent Film Festival to train costume designers, jewelry designers and filmmakers.
The design visionary opines that with the recent revolution, the future looks bright as she hopes to create a Sudan chapter of the Fashion Revolution organization, designing a suitable gender-neutral, capsule fashion collection inspired by traditional Sudanese design aesthetics.
In recognition of her exploits, the fashion revolutionist was named among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans for 2020.
