December was a busy month for performers as there are usually numerous performances across the nation.
Even though majority of the performances featured emerging artists as the headliners, a few seasoned performers also got some stage time at the weeklong “Eko for Show: Wave of Afrobeat” concert.
Both seasoned and up-and-coming artists, including Femi Kuti, Awilo Longomba, Daddy Showkey, Duncan Mighty, Omawumi, Bracket, Dr. Sid, D’banj, Sean Tizzle, Ice Prince, MI, Jesse Jagz, Vector, and Timaya, performed during the event, which took place on a beach on Victoria Island in Lagos.
D’banj and Timaya performing on stage while Kizz Daniel’s song “Cough” was playing was one of the show’s highlights. As he approached them, Daniel ascended the stage. ‘Buga,’ his popular song, was also performed.
Popular comedian Kenny Blaq served as the event’s host.
