Its music video also shattered records, accumulating over 830 million views on YouTube, a feat unparalleled in Nigerian music history. Furthermore, the song’s sustained presence on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 3 and charting for over 52 weeks, solidifies its status as a cultural phenomenon.
The diamond certification in France adds another accolade to ‘Calm Down’s’ remarkable journey, joining the ranks of other Afrobeats hits like Burna Boy’s ‘On The Low’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa’, and CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’. Moreover, with ‘Raves & Roses’ earning the prestigious SNEP diamond certification, it follows in the footsteps of Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ as only the second Nigerian album to achieve France’s highest honor, further cementing Rema’s position as a global music sensation.
