Professor Rotimi Jaiyesimi is a highly renowned innovative award-winning consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based at the Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital.
Reputed as an asset to the UK NHS, with a super accomplished career in the medical field to prove, boasting of more than 30 years in the NHS, Professor Rotimi Jaiyesimi, MBBS FFSRH FRSPH FWACS FRCOG MBA LLM in 1993, proudly stood amongst one of the first Nigerians appointed as a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK.
Professor Jaiyesimi as an innovative and award-winning consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, his impressive resume also includes serving as an Associate Medical Director for Patient Safety Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital.
A vast amount of experience garnered, over the years, Professor Rotimi Jaiyesimi has applaudably been able to establish himself in areas of expertise including: Heavy periods, Pelvic pain, Endometriosis, Menopause as well as psychosexual counselling and medicolegal services.
Although the journey hasn’t been smooth, at different points encountered racism, the top medical practitioner has been able to stand strong, his passion unwavering with eyes set on a mission to impact.
Professor Jaiyesimi in recognition of his significant contributions to the medical field and beyond has most deservedly received numerous awards; In 2014, he developed an Electronic Mortality Review tool (MARS) in Basildon Hospital and received the Health Service Journal National Award for Innovative Development. The University of Ibadan also presented him with the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
Professor Rotimi Jaiyesimi was named amongst the UK-NIGERIA Diaspora COVID-19 Response Consortium, made up of 15 inter-sectoral experts, which was established in May 2020 to contribute to the efforts to curtail the disease in Nigeria and the diaspora.

graduated from the Ibadan Medical School, Nigeria. He also holds masters degrees in business administration and medical law. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, the West African College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
He is an accredited Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) Medical Educator and has contributed to the work of the National Institute for Health Research. As an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, Prof. Jaiyesimi also proudly makes history as the first medical doctor to lecture at the Nigerian Law School in Abuja.
