An international celebration blending entertainment and business, the Nigerian Week Festival is set to commence in London, United Kingdom, from July 22 to July 28. Organized annually by SRTV London in collaboration with key Nigerian institutions including the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Nigerian Films Corporation, and the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria (AMP), the event highlights Nigerian culture, products, and business opportunities.

The festival, renowned for its vibrant mix of music, dance, fashion, food, exhibitions, and trade fairs, serves as a platform to showcase the best of Nigerian heritage. This year’s lineup features an Afrobeat music extravaganza, a moonlight film festival showcasing top African movies, and a prestigious Nigerian fashion show and contest. Attendees will also enjoy cultural displays by the National Troupe and exhibitions featuring Nigerian cash crops and agricultural produce.

At this year’s event, renowned filmmaker Zeb Ejiro will be honored for his outstanding contributions to Nollywood. Born in Isoko, Delta State, Ejiro gained acclaim for producing iconic films such as “Nneka the Pretty Serpent” (1994) and the blockbuster “Domitila” (1996). His accolades include the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), conferred in 2005 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Ejiro, also recognized for his enduring drama series “Ripples”, continues to influence and shape Nigeria’s film industry.
