American rapper, Kanye West has indicated an ignition of his political career on vying for the presidency of the United States of America.
The entrepreneur took to microblogging platform, Twitter, to divulge his ambition of running for the Oval Office in the White House, Washington D.C.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for president of the United States ?? ! #2020VISION,” he tweeted.
Kanye’s announcement has since amassed over 300k retweets and a staggering 600k likes on the tweet.
However, this is not the first time the father of four has come to show his interest for the presidential race. It could be recall that Kanye said in 2019 that he will be running for the U.S presidency in 2024.
He made that known while speaking at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival in the United States.
“When I run for president in 2024 —” West said, to laughter from the audience. “What y’all laughing at?” I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk,” he said.
“What they’re saying is Kanye’s crazy — one and three African Americans are in jail and all the celebrities are in jail also because they can’t say nothing because they’re so scared.”
It is however worthy of note to see how Kanye can achieve this seemingly impossible great feat, as he has missed every states filing deadline for the two major political parties (Democratic and Republican), and almost all state primaries.
