Ehi Braimah, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Naija Times, received the prestigious Chancellor’s Alumni Award from the University of Roehampton during a recent ceremony held on the university’s campus in London. Braimah was recognized for his significant contributions, being one of three Nigerians among 20 honorees who received the Alumni Innovation and Inspiration Award.
The award citation commended Braimah for leveraging Naija Times to promote societal change through balanced journalism, particularly highlighted during the 2023 presidential election. It described him as a leading advocate for political and economic reforms, emphasizing his commitment to high journalistic standards and the fight against corruption.
Alongside Braimah, fellow Nigerians Humphrey Aghoghovbia Jr. and Marian Adejokun were also honored at the event. In remarks delivered at the ceremony, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Keogh, representing Vice Chancellor Prof. Jean-Noel Ezingeard, celebrated the university’s long history, tracing its roots back to the 1840s. He expressed pride in the expanding global alumni network and the significance of the Chancellor’s Alumni Awards.
