Coca-Cola Florida has been selected as the U.S. Best Managed Companies for 2022. The Best Managed Companies program is put on by The Wall Street Journal and Deloitte Private. Its goal is to recognize the great things that private U.S. companies and their managers have done.
A press release said that the 2022 winners have shown excellence in strategic planning and execution, a commitment to their people, and building a dynamic, resilient culture. They also have strong financials.
Troy Taylor, founder, chairman, and CEO of Coke Florida said, “This recognition is a big deal for us, and we see it as a validation of the hard work, consistency, and tenacity of the more than 4,600 people who work for us.”
He went on to say, “We think we’re the best in all the categories that were looked at, and we’re proud to join the 1,200 other companies around the world that have this prestigious title.” We are especially proud to get this award after more than two years of business problems that have never been seen before.”
According to the press release, the applicants for the awards are “evaluated and chosen by a panel of external judges focused on assessing hallmarks of excellence in four key areas: strategy, ability to execute, corporate culture, and governance/financial performance.”
The release said that the businesses that were chosen this year continued to move their businesses forward by putting purpose first, investing in their employees, and showing their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
David Cross, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Coca-Cola Florida, said, “Financial results are one sign of good business performance. When combined with strategy and execution, they show the core values of a truly solid organization.”
“Building a strong and inclusive organizational culture across the Coke Florida footprint was a planned part of our overall strategy. Our culture is the basis for everything we do, and it is a major factor in how well our business does.
