American music star, Usher Raymond has been selected as the featured performer for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The excited musician made the announcement on Sunday via his X handle, which was formerly known as Twitter.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.
“Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon,” he tweeted
Usher’s appearance in the performance will be his second on the programme.
In 2011, he previously appeared onstage with the band Black Eyes Peas.
The singer who previously appeared on stage with the band Black Eyes Peas in 2011 will perform as the show’s headlining act, according to a statement issued by the National Football League and supported by Apple Music.
The performance will also be produced for the fifth consecutive year by record label Roc Nation. The label’s owner and well-known rap tycoon, Jay Z, has high expectations for the impending performance.
He revealed in a statement: “Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
The eagerly anticipated event is scheduled to take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, 2024.
