Richard Mofe-Damijo: Celebrating Black Excellence In Nollywood

Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, is a Nigerian Nollywood actor and lawyer. 

Born in 1961, he holds a dual degree in theatre arts and law from the University of Benin and University of Lagos respectively.

Having had a stint as news reporter for Concord Newspapers and Metro Magazine earlier in his life, Mofe-Damijo started his acting career over three decades ago, with many credits to his omni-acting roles in hundreds of movies. Notable of which was receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016. In 2005, Mofe-Damijo won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

With a foray into politics, the fashion-savvy thespian was the former commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria.
