Oluwagbenga Olabisi Sesan was born on July 27, 1977. He provides information and communications technologies to the underserved as a social entrepreneur. His professional background is in the use of information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D) for individuals, organisations, nation-states, regional organisations, and the global community.
Sesan is also the Paradigm Initiative’s Executive Director.
He previously served on the Committee of eLeaders on Youth and ICT for the United Nations.
He holds fellowships from the Crans Montana Forum, Ashoka, Our Common Future, CyberStewards, Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership, Cordes, and CyberStewards.
Sesan served on the presidential committees for the Roadmap for the Achievement of Accelerated Universal Broadband Infrastructure and Services Provision (2013) and Harmonisation of Information Technology, Telecommunications, and Broadcasting Sectors (2006).
He was chosen by UN Secretary-General António Guterres to the first Leadership Panel of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in 2022.
In addition to completing Executive Education courses at the Lagos Business School, New York Group for Technology Transfer, Oxford University, Harvard University, Stanford University, Santa Clara University, and University of the Pacific, he graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2002 with a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

- Also in 2012, he emerged one of Ventures Africa’s 40 African Legends Under 40.
- He bagged 2014 Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2014.
