Super Eagles Get Presidential Recognition After AFCON Runner-Up Finish

Following their impressive performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Super Eagles received a warm welcome and special rewards from President Bola Tinubu. Despite finishing as runners-up to hosts Côte d’Ivoire, the team was lauded for their hard work, dedication, and progress throughout the tournament.

President Tinubu bestowed upon each player and official the prestigious Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) national award, solidifying their contributions to the nation’s pride. Additionally, the President gifted flats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and plots of land, demonstrating his appreciation for their efforts.
