Meet Pamela Shodipo, the recently appointed Executive Director in charge of the South Directorate at Fidelity Bank Plc.
The bank claims that Pamela’s appointment will help it achieve its strategic goal and that the board is eager to collaborate with her because they are confident in her ability to significantly improve Fidelity Bank.
With over 25 years of multifunctional and international banking experience at prestigious financial institutions, Pamela joins the board of Fidelity Bank Plc. She has experience in general management and business initiation in a variety of industries, including corporate, commercial, consumer, retail, and public sector.

She started her professional career in January 1991 at International Standard Insurance Limited before moving on to work as a customer service officer at United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) in 1992.
Pamela joined Zenith Bank Plc in April 1997, where she worked until September 2007 and advanced to the position of assistant general manager. In October 2007, she accepted a position as Regional Director at United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA).
Pamela had a distinguished career at UBA and oversaw several regional banks. She was promoted to the post of general manager in 2017, and from that year through 2020, she was directly responsible for up to 28 branch managers.
She served as the directorate head of Lagos 3/Public Sector from October 2020 to November 2021 before being named managing director/CEO of UBA Benin Republic, where she worked from December 2021 to November 2022.
Until she was elected to the board of Fidelity Bank Plc, Pamela was the head of personal banking for the UBA Group, responsible for Nigeria and Africa.
Pamela has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Lagos (1990) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales College in Cardiff, United Kingdom (1995).
She has participated in numerous business, leadership, and executive development programs at prestigious universities like Lagos Business School, Harvard Business School, and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
She is a graduate of the Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme (SMP22) and a senior honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
