Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa is a Zimbabwean broadcaster, notable for hosting “Ruvheneko”, a current affairs talk show that airs on her online TV platform as well as on radio for Zimbabwe’s top media group.
Born in 1988, she has been enthused with a career path in broadcasting, and which prompted a start as a sophomore student then at the University of Cape Town hosting current affairs talk show. This however, has aligned Ruvheneko to be the face of many events and occasions as a seasoned compere.
She emceed at the former First Lady Grace Mugabe’s 50th birthday, as well the former First Daughter Bona and Simba Chikore’s wedding. Also, the voice artist is the presenter of The Zimbabwe Election Debates Series with Election Resource Centre Zimbabwe broadcast.
Ruvheneko holds a Bachelor of Arts in media and writing and political science with a Master of Science in International Relations in view at the University of Zimbabwe.
In remitting to her immediate society, the 32-year-old brand ambassador initiated the Ruvheneko Mentorship Program, which is geared at young ambitious Zimbabweans. They work with youths on their journey to success by finding where their purpose and passion intersect. Also, Ruvheneko, together with a group of friends, launched the ZimboLove Foundation in 2013; a charity that helps people who cannot afford blood by donating to them.
In recognition of her excellence and impact, Ruvheneko is a recipient of awards like: Women’s Top Business Leader of the Year – Special Recognition in Media and Broadcasting Excellence from Women’s Leadership Awards (2017); Top Outstanding Woman in Broadcast Media & Radio in Republic of Zimbabwe from Women’s Heritage Society World Organization (WHSWO) (2015); and Radio personality of the year (Zimbabwe Business awards 2014).
