Amisa Rashid Kiligah is a Kenyan social entrepreneur. Avidly passionate about creating mental health awareness in her community, Amisa founded Nivishe Foundation, with the main objective to create mental health awareness and break the stigma against mental illnesses targeting women, youth, and children from vulnerable informal settlements & marginalized communities.
Since its launch in 2018, Nivishe has been able to impact over 800 women and over 2000 youths by providing, workshops, free counselings, and creating safe spaces for the targeted audience. This feat has earned her, some of which include 2021 100 Most Influential Young African, 2019 100 Most Influential Muslims in Kenya, etc.
America’s enthusiasm in community work has positioned her as a speaker and a panelist at the African Women In Technology (AWIT) Summit 2019, SheHacks, Africa Scratch Conference, and other STEM-related conferences where she is known to have created a base of audiences as a counseling psychologist in the STEM industry.
