At the helm of this $7 billion enterprise, he orchestrated a remarkable corporate transformation, elevating the company to world-class performance indices. A pivotal achievement was his leadership in securing the landmark $10 billion Final Investment Decision for Train 7, a project set to expand NLNG’s capacity by over 30% and unlock the potential of Nigeria’s vast gas reserves. His foresight in positioning natural gas as the transition fuel of choice was instrumental in collaborating with the Federal Government to launch Nigeria’s “Decade of Gas” initiative.
His expertise, honed in international roles for Shell in Nigeria, Russia, and the Netherlands, extends across the full spectrum of the energy value chain. Prior to leading NLNG, he served as Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) and held senior executive positions including Vice President for Human Resources in Sub-Saharan Africa and Vice President for Health, Safety, and Environment.

As the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company, he is applying his formidable skills as a strategist and negotiator to a new frontier. He was the lead deal negotiator for the ND Western Consortium, successfully concluding the historic multibillion-dollar divestment of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, which culminated in the birth of Renaissance.
