Sir Kay, a veteran Yoruba actor identified as Kamal Adebayo has passed away.
The dead was also Abidemi Adebayo, better known as Isbae U, a well-known producer of skits.
The actor’s passing was reported on Tuesday by Musiliu Akinsanya, alias MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee.
MC Oluomo composed: “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.”
Other Yoruba actors and actresses have paid tribute to the dead on their Instagram sites in the wake of the announcement.
Faithia Williams shared a photo of a lit candle and commented, “What a life. God… Sir Kay” with some crying emojis.
When sharing a photo of the deceased, Yomi Fabiyi wrote: “O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man. I’m weak.”
Sir Kay’s death’s cause and circumstances have not yet been made public.
