by Duchess Magazine

Raphael Mbotela, who is the youngest referee in Zambia, has earned the right to officiate FAZ (Football Association of Zambia) matches.
This is after the 18-year-old passed the refereeing training he took in 2022.
Raphael Mbotela gained attention after receiving a COSAFA invitation to the 2021 Under 17 AUSC Region 5 Games in Lesotho.
The COSAFA U17 girls semifinal between Botswana and Namibia was officiated by Mbotela at the event.
Mbotela can now officiate even super league games, according to FAZ referees manager Aziph Banda.
