Abass Abayomi Tijani was born in London on January 9th, 1968 to Kolawole Rasak Tijani and Deborah Kojusola Tijani, a nurse and midwife. He works as a consultant for the media and entertainment industry as well as a broadcaster, DJ, and compere. DJAMEDIA, an organization that manages entertainment and media, is led by him.

His work as the host and co-producer of the television programs Intro and the Big Nigerian Independence Intro Jam series earned him widespread recognition in the Nigerian and African communities in the United Kingdom.

On the popular music show Intro Live with DJ Abass in 2003, DJ Abass co-produced and hosted a live music performance. Live interviews and the debut of music videos were the only ways the program exclusively featured Nigerian and African music talents.

He attended Baptist Academy in Obanikoro, Lagos, Mate Nursery and Primary School in Lagos, and then Baptist High School in Port-Harcourt for his primary education. He then went to the University of Ado-Ekiti, also known as Adekunle Ajasin University (formerly Ondo State University).

DJ Abass helped organize a series of performances featuring the greatest Nigerian DJs in the UK in 2000 as a founding member of the Nigerian DJs Association UK branch.

When he met the trio of Soji Adebayo, Michael Oloyede, and Michael Enebeli in 2002, he transitioned into talent management (a.k.a. Don Jazzy).

In 2000, DJ Abass was a founding member of the Nigerian DJs Association UK chapter and helped organise a series of concerts showcasing the very best of Nigerian DJs in the UK.

In 2002, moved into artiste management when he met trio of Soji Adebayo, Michael Oloyede and Michael Enebeli (a.k.a. Don Jazzy)
