Fejiro Agbodje: Brainy, Rich, Young and Famous

by Duchess Magazine

Agbodje’s wealth is traceable to the use of his creative mind, unlike many others who purchase luxury cars with enigmatic or dubious sources of income.

Fejiro Hanu Agbodje, a young Nigerian, founded and serves as CEO of Patricia Technologies, an alternative payment solutions provider that makes it simple to use bitcoins in routine transactions.

On November 16, 1995, Fejiro Hanu Agbodje was born in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He was raised in Warri, Lagos, and Port Harcourt. At the University of Port Harcourt, Fejiro studied mathematical statistics. a subject he abhorred so much. He had always dreamed of being an engineer as a young boy because of the glitter that went along with the lifestyle. He found it intriguing to watch engineers travel overseas every two weeks and return home with cool things. But every university he applied to kept giving him Mathematics. Eventually, he would admit that mathematics had influenced his entrepreneurial trajectory, and he had no regrets.

Fejiro was disappointed when he couldn’t find a place to exchange the bitcoin his UK-based uncle had given him for cash, with the exception of one peer-to-peer site that ultimately defrauded him. This led to the creation of Patricia Technologies.

Today, in Africa’s cryptocurrency industry, Patricia is well-known as a driving force. Up until individuals began asking about gift cards, the business only dealt in buying and selling bitcoins. In a chat with Peace Itimi, Fejiro disclosed that Patricia is a business within the Patricia universe.

He disclosed the existence of other businesses he had founded, such as Glover, a user-friendly, secure platform that offers many payment options using Gift Cards, Perfect Money, and Bitcoin.

Businesses on Glover may create their own gift cards for their clients, sell gift cards, and buy gift cards. Hank is another project that Patricia has started. Hank is a piece of gear that assists in finding lost objects. He claimed that his inability to remember things, particularly the home or car keys his parents handed him when he was young, was what gave rise to this idea.

The invention of a bitcoin debit card, a first of its type, is another example of Patricia’s technological diversification. Fejiro thinks that this action will aid in the acceptance of bitcoin by allowing individuals to use it to pay for items rather than only buy or sell them.

The invention of turning airtime into cash is also important to mention. The abuse he endured at the institution served as inspiration for this. He admitted then that his mother had sent him airtime to sell. 2000 Naira was the standard price for 5000 worth of airtime, which was significantly less than the value. This is what inspired the first of its kind idea, airtime to cash.

When asked what the future holds for Patricia Technologies, Agbodje said, “we cannot achieve our vision of Patricia by just focusing on Nigeria.” The company now has extended to Ghana, South Africa, UK and Estonia.

It is also crucial to know that Agbodje had a number of ventures before Patricia was born, the majority of them were unsuccessful.
