Man Crush Monday: Renowned American Actor, Gbenga Akinnagbe

Olugbenga Enitan Temitope Akinnagbe was born to Nigerian parents on December 12th, 1978, in the United States. Akinnagbe is an American actor and writer best known for his roles as Larry Brown in the HBO series The Deuce and Chris Partlow in the HBO series The Wire.

Akinnagbe who is still active in the industry began acting in 2002 with 29-episodes Chris Partlow.

Akinnagbe had a quite productive 2015 as he won three awards in the year. He won Audience Award by American Black Film Festival, Industry Choice Award by Dance with Films and Jury’s Award by Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, all for the movie ‘Knucklehead’.

He went to Colonel Zadok A. Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland. He received a wrestling scholarship to Bucknell University and also earned a Political Science and English degree in 2000.
