This month’s edition of heroes without capes features two men from the western part of Nigeria who defiled odds to prove to us that nothing is impossible as the word itself says I’m possible!

Gbenga Adeyinka de First

Gbenga Adeyinka also known as CFR (Comedian of the Federal Republic) and now GCON (Grand Comedian of Nigeria) is a writer, comedian, radio & TV host, actor and MC. He was born on 7th May, 1968 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

He manages corporate events in addition to his other job. He rose to fame with his “Shine Shine Bobo” advertisement for “Star Game Show” and he has since hosted television shows for AIT, Galaxy TV, MBI, and Africa Magic on DSTV. He can speak a number of Nigerian dialects.

Gbenga has anchored numerous wedding-related programs and events both inside and outside of Nigeria. Additionally, he was the first to publish Laffmattazz, a comic magazine in Nigeria.

In August 2020, during the COVID-19 epidemic, he made the decision to enter farming and launched a new food business called Aduni Adeyinka Foods.

Gbenga Adeyinka married his heartthrob, Mrs Abiola Adeyinka in 1996 and their union is blessed with three children.

Gbenga is an Alumnus of University of Lagos where he studied English.

Gbenga has reached his third decade at the top hierarchy of Nigerian entertainment industry, a feat accomplished by very few people.

Olajire Anifalaje

Olajire Anifalaje is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Emporium Communications Limited.

Emporium Communications Limited (ECL) is a marketing communication solutions firm situated in Ikeja, Lagos, with the sole aim of offering promotions, sampling & sales activations, POS merchandising & placements, brand development corporate events, channel development, experiential marketing services.

Though pained, Olajire didn’t allow the death of his father in 2010 to weigh him down, instead, he stoop to take timely steps in the right direction, bringing clarity to Nigeria’s marketing communication system bringing us to William Arthur Ward’s saying “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it.”

The graduate of University of Lagos had his secondary school education at Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Ogun State.

Olajire was born on 28th September. Notably, he has over 15years experience in brand management and marketing communications. Prior to this, he was a Client Service Manager. He also once served as the Senior Manager Media Strategy & Planning.
