Ayanwole Ayantuga, popularly known as Ayan De First-Mr Culture, is a Nigerian talking drummer. Highly revered among Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Ayan De First is a celebrity talking drummer who performs at both African and multi-cultural events across the UK and Europe. However, he is not a newbie in appearing in all British national newspapers and on all British Television channels. He also teaches Nigerian and African culture, works within educational sectors, offering drumming lessons to willing pupils, as well as showing them how to play cultural instruments.
In 2020, the Lord Mayor of London, William Russell, conferred upon Ayan De First the ‘Liveryman of the city.’
The multi-award winning acoustic music sensation is reputed for performing at high class events, both in Africa and Europe. Notable of Ayan De First’s performances was the Royal outing for Queen Elizabeth II, among the host of others.
Mr Culture has had a stint Queen Salawa Abeni, The Masters Drummers of Africa, The Yoruba Women Choir, before founding his own acoustic company ‘Oduduwa Talking Drummers’.
