Yemi Soile is a Nigerian-British youth empowerment advocate, entrepreneur, and youth ambassador for Africa. He is the founder and coordinator of Nigerian Students’ Union UK (NSUUK). He also dubs as the founder and steering committee chief of Nigerian Youth in Diaspora Organization. As a media entrepreneur, Soile is the CEO of Nigerian Youth Television, a media outfit geared at giving a voice to Nigerian youth and showcasing their achievements to the world.
He sits as one of the project leaders of the Commonwealth Africa Initiative, a Pan-Commonwealth organization with the mission to promote the interest of the African bloc of the Commonwealth of Nations and enhance more opportunities for Commonwealth Citizens from Africa.
Soile served as assistant secretary and youth representative with the Central Association of Nigerians in the UK (CANUK) between 2009 and 2011. He was however named and awarded as one of the 100 most outstanding Nigerians in the UK from 1914 – 2014 at the Nigerian Centenary Awards UK in 2014. In 2015, he won the ‘Nigerian Youth Achiever of the Year award UK’ at the Inaugural CANUK Awards Dinner and Dance event.
In furtherance of his contributions and recognition, Soile was in 2016 appointed by the Central Association of Nigerians in the UK (CANUK) as its Youth Committee Chairman, to implement its vision of empowering and engaging more Nigerian youth in the UK. He served in this role until May 2017.
He has served on the Advisory Board of his alma mater’s (University of Greenwich) Black Asian Minority Ethnic group (BAME) network.
Soile’s acumen in leadership mirrors him as “a leader of tomorrow in action today” by motivating youths to proffer solution to different social problems. He holds a degree in Politics and Business from the University of Greenwich London, an Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management from the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM), UK, and a Master’s degree in International Project Management from Anglia Ruskin University.
His mantra is salient on motivation which is: “It is okay to fail but don’t let your setback cause you to sit back, prepare for your comeback.”
