Stepping up his career that spans through being a superstar actor, stand-up comedian, and business owner, Kevin Hart is adding game show host to his ever-growing resumé.
The 40-year-old star is set to host and executive produce a virtual special for E!, Celebrity Game Face, where four celebrity couples face off in a series of “outrageous at-home challenges,” reads a press release. The show, which will be co-hosted by Hart’s pregnant wife, Eniko, is set to air Monday, July 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on E!
“With the games postponed, I’m bringing all of the indoor games to E!” said an enthusiastic Hart in a teaser video.
The series will feature couples Terry and Rebecca Crews, Sarah Hyland and her fiancé Wells Adams, and Joel and Sarah McHale who participate in fun physical challenges led by the Harts. “The pairs will show off their teenage dance moves in a tik ‘talk’ challenge, feed each other a messy meal with a twist, attempt to interpret what their partners are saying while their mouths are full and race through their homes to find unexpected items to solve riddles,” reads the news release. “At the end of the night, the couples are awarded money for their charity of choice, but only one team will win the coveted ‘Hart of a Champion’ trophy, which is a gold statue of baby Kevin Hart.”
The special will be produced by Critical Content and Hart’s Hartbeat Productions.
In May, Kevin Hart released a new motivational audiobook on Audible titled The Decision: Overcoming Today’s BS for Tomorrow’s Success where he shares over five hours’ worth of self-help and development tips. He told Black Enterprise that although it was recorded in 2019, many people are itching for a source of motivation now more than ever in wake of the pandemic.
“Some people are getting beat down by it and it’s weighing on them heavy,” he said. “There’s a good reason to motivate, inspire, recharge, uplift, etc.—and I feel like that is what The Decision does.”
