Last week, Mavin Records, a well-known entertainment firm, presented an all-star concert to commemorate their tenth anniversary at the yearly LivespotX Festival. They had just released their “Chapter X” record a few weeks prior.
The guests in attendance were delighted by the performances of all the label’s artists, including Rema, Crayon, Boy Spyce, Bayanni, Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, and Johnny Drille, who were all present.
Don Jazzy, a music producer and the label’s founder, said at the occasion that, over the previous ten years, running the business has been fulfilling for him, especially because of the support of devoted followers.
He said, “We are incredibly blessed to be 10. It is not easy to have that staying power in our industry, but our fans have been amazing. They have been with us on this journey and they have relentlessly supported the amazing talents we discovered and groomed here at Mavin. We are inspired to do more and to continue pushing the industry to the global stage.”
The label’s Chief Operating Officer, Tega Oghenejobo, noted that the performance was a major celebration for the business and expressed hope for a better future. He said: “This is a big win for the team, for the fans and for everyone who is looking at what is possible in our industry. The concert is a big celebration for us all. We are grateful for what we have done so far, and for the promise that the future holds.”
