Ronnie Turner Dies at 62

The second of Tina Turner’s four children, Ronnie Turner, has passed away at 62.

Afida Turner, a French singer and Ronnie’s wife, posted on Instagram on Friday to share the news of his passing.

“My god Ronnie Turner a true angel hiuge soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby,” she wrote.

His mother, Tina, 83, also posted a tribute to her late son on Friday: “Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.”

Ronnie was having problems breathing, and eventually stopped breathing, according to the individual who dialed 911. He was declared dead at the spot by responding paramedics despite efforts by passersby to perform CPR on him.

Ronnie, a singer played in a band called Manufactured Funk. He made an appearance in his mother’s 1993 biopic ‘Love Got to Do with It’.


Ronnie was born to Tina in 1960. He was one of her two biological children, the other being Craig whom she gave birth to in 1958.
